When I was a child the english was my favorite languge ; is when you loved something or someone you have this passion or hobby .As a very short age my fathers sign on me english class ,in particular reason was because I´¨m needed in a future time in that moment I didn¨¨t undertand but then pass something bad...
In ilustrate , think about a girl that have good califications and understand the english lenguaje, but then change to another school and they work diferent form .Her specially caracheristic is rather shy; well that girl it´s me .And now you questions you ¿why? ,well a good example is that I didn´t like to participate ,because everyday of my life I have that fear to make a mistake.You also thing that is stupid but if you thing well by a shy person it´s diferent. Now ,my really preocupation is to present de TOFU exam to be 100% bilingual ,such as :
-I think a didn´t would to pass.
-My vocabulary is not varity.
-Specially I can´t maintaned a conversation without put nervous or stutter.
In conclusion ,if you have the oportunity to learn english not follow my footsteps , try to be participate ,ask your doubts and practice (that was so important at the time when you learn a lenguage ) .

Yes, same as you I used to be so shy but with the time I learn that it´s okay be a little shy but, also it´s okay to have mistakes, and it´s completely normal to have doubts when you are learning something new and also failure it´s okay because it teaches you some lessons.
